The web site is honest about the price. $300 elsewhere.
Only issue I can see, is how/where to buy the RS232 cable. The end that
plugs into the device looks non-standard. But maybe they are not too hard to
find. The Citizen web site offered a UK site up for accessories, and they
did not appear to carry anything but ribbons. The Citizen web site did offer
the ability to send a request to sales office for contact - otherwise
directed you to your "nearest Citizen supplier", whoever that may be.
It appears to be a very popular printer (judging from reviews I saw after
Googling it), it is thermal, supports Epson ESC/2 protocol, and isn't a
"Windows" printer, meaning it has built-in fonts.
It can be configured from a Windows PC, or from a built-in menu that prints
to the paper.
I almost want one.
BG Micro also has the paper rolls.
One caveat - I've never bought anything from them. But they've been around a
while, and I probably would.
