Hi all,
Me again. I just got my shiny new Uthernet card, and have been testing
it out. My home network is wireless, so I am 'sharing' my wireless
internet connection through my Powerbook G4 out it's ethernet port to
my Apple II (with applesoft roms, so basically an Apple II+). The CPU
is a stock 6502 (not 6502A. Vince told me that he has had no problem
using the standard 6502 in his II+ with the uthernet card). So after a
little bit of playing around, I can now browse the web and Contiki is
running great, but ADTpro is causing some problems.
I am using ADTpro 1.3. I launch the ADTpro server side on my mac, I
launch the client side on the Apple II, hit the connect via ethernet,
then do a directory search from the Apple II, all works great. I can
see my list of files on my mac. If I try to do the directory search
again (or anything else for that matter) I get nothing. If I then
disconnect the server side app on my mac and then reconnect, I can do
DIR again with no problems. If I want to receive a file, I can't
advance to unless I disconnect then reconnect from the mac. doing this
a few times finally gets me to the screen where the transfer is about
to start. but then it just sits there doing nothing. It is as if after
the mac is polled once it hangs, and something needs to be reset
before it can do anything else. Has anyone had a similar problem?
Thanks in advance.
Phil
Ok...I think I figured it out. My wireless network is on the 10.0.1.x
range, and when it is shared through the Powerbook via ethernet to the
Apple II, the network is in the 192,168,2,x range. For it to work with
my setup, in ADTpro the server IP and the gateway IP needs to be the
same (192,168,2,1) for it to work. Previously I had the Server IP
point to the 10.0.1.2 (my Powerbooks IP), which would work, but you
could only do one thing (eg. check the Directory), then the ADTpro
server app needed to be stopped and started again for it to work
again.
Strange that that Contiki works fine. I'll do a little more playing
around.
