What he means is that though the JPEG may *look* the same, the
pixels do not have the same values that they had (except for 4-bit
to 8-bit conversion) on the IIgs.
GIF is perfectly oriented to compressing pictures originally in
a 256-entry or less palette. The compression does not produce
any data loss for such images, and tends to be quite space-
efficient as well.
The original image - untouch - is not on the web site, but in
VirtualGS.zip.

Here's a tip: when you include screen shots or graphics from the IIGS,
save them in GIF format, NOT JPG! By saving them as JPG, you're adding
compression artifacts. By saving as a GIF, you're getting the image
exactly how it appeared on the IIGS.
