Ok, final iteration before real release posted:http://adtpro.sourceforge.net

New functionality:

* The client will scan slots for communications devices
* Included DOS ADT similarly enhanced to scan for serial ports
* Added a simple Applesoft menu when booting the distribution
diskette
* Added an 800k distribution disk image
* Server gives instruction messages at the end as well as at the
beginning of bootstrap sends for Audio transfers - so you don't have
to have the website up in front of you to succeed

Bug fixes:

* Fixed formatter code to more correctly format disks larger than
140k and to recognize and format hard drives/CFFA cards
* Switched diskette image and bootstrapping data to use Apple's
publicly available ProDOS version 1.9, BASIC 1.4.1 as downloaded from
Apple's FTP site

David,

Just downloaded and ran 0.2.6. In fact, as a test, I ran it from bare-
metal bootstrapping. The program works Great! The only complaint I
have is with the information on your bootstrapping-serial page online.
I'll copy what I'm talking about.

"11. Once the transfer completes successfully, the BASIC Interpreter
of ProDOS should start. The second boot stage should leave your screen
looking like this, with the cursor blinking after an Applesoft prompt
(]):

12. Now you have fully functional ProDOS running on your Apple. It's
default slot/drive is currently set to 6, but you can change that with
the PREFIX,S5 command (or CAT,S5 or whatever)."

Number 12 is where the problem is. You can't change the slot number
that Prodos expects the disk drive to be in until AFTER you've
formatted a disk. I know this because I tried to do the PREFIX, S5
after getting to the Basic System screen and got an I/O error. When I
went through from bare-metal a second time and did the PREFIX, S5
after formatting the disk, with the Format client you've provided,
ADTPro 0.2.6 saved itself to my 3.5 drive automatically after it
completed the "Send ADTPro Serial Client". Then I transferred the
complete disk image to my 3.5 drive using 0.2.6.

The other thing you've added, that I really like, is the option to
format disks when you first start up the program. That has been one
thing I constantly do, is forget to have enough formatted disks on
hand. So I'd end up having to quit ADTPro and format disks, then
restart ADTPro to continue transferring programs. With the formatting
option part of the startup maybe I'll remember to check how many disks
I have formatted before I get the program running. Would there be
anyway you could add that as an option to the program itself? That way
the next time I go into idiot mode and don't have enough disks ready
to use, and don't even think about it when I get to the screen that
asks what program I want to run, I've got the option handy inside the
program and won't have to quit ADTPro until I'm done transferring all
the programs I want to for that session. Just a thought.

Once again Great job with the newest version of ADTPro! It's even
easier now to go from bare-metal to fully Prodos functional Apple II.
