i've never seen a criminal or conman say, "well, it 's against the
rules, guess i can't operate here".

while it's true that it is called MacSwapList, we offer and accept
postings about any Apple product, and other products as well. as for
doing things outside LEMSwaps rules, yes i did. but considering they
have 27 rules with 22 subsections to read before you even post, i
really can't keep up.

On this list, no one cares if you post eBay auctions or things you've
posted elsewhere. You don't have to give any info to post. Post non-
mac things, or musing about mac things. Want to sell your radar
detector to your mac friends? Go ahead. You will not get your hand
slapped by admins here. Apple products are welcome and we'd like to
get more postings from Apple users actually, so stop by.

There is only one rule; "Be excellent to each other".

: The list that CyberdogX86 is probably railing against
: is the LowEndMac swap list.

I figured as such. He more than likely is just doing
this in revenge for something the list admins said
he did outside of their rules.

: That list does occasionally ask for and/or offer
: Apple II items.

Very occassionally, I might add.

: It IS a very controlled list but that control leads
: to a minimum of scamming. I belong to that list and
: have been very satisfied with the stuff I've obtained
: off that list. I'm willling to put up with the occasional
: overbearing list nanny in return for knowing that the
: chances of getting screwed in a deal are extremely minimal.

I was offered a membership to the list, not sure if I had
taken advantage at this point, but, I never got the hang of
Macs, and most likely never will, so, no need for it.

With Ciderpress and CF storage in my Apple IIs, I have no
need for Macs at all. Even just with the Superdrives and
Ciderpress, I was quite satisfied with my setups. Now I've
even got Bluedisk, so I have Superdrives on the IIgs, and
the MS-DOS drives in my IIe. If not for needing my one and
only remaining Unidisk 3.5" drive for testing purposes,
I'd sell it. In fact, I'm cleaning house now, so there will
be some stuff going up on eBay.

Ask your doctor for CHANTIX, it is working great for me.

I don't have problems with the rules on your list, what I didn't like
was when I accidently posted to the group, I got an email from one of
the moderators basicly telling me off, and saying it like I always
make that mistake.
Not into people with a little bit of power being dicks, when they
could of just said, "You posted to the group by mistake, try not to
do it again."

Telling me that I keep doing something and that my account will get
banned is, well, lame. Unless I make that mistake alot, but
considering it was my second post to the group, I don't think so.

Otherwise, I love the lowendmac site, I've gotten alot of great info
from it. =)
