0.1 times better? That's quite a claim! Well, I'm glad we now have our

In order to power these new Apple II products, an origional power
supply will not work. Neither will his upgraded Apple IIGS power
supply. It just isn't enough. I have located a suitable 150A 5v power
supply that should do the job.

Interesting concept... Apple II products that aren't actually compatible
with a stock Apple II. It's a devilishly clever way of marketing a PSU
upgrade.

But seriously, is the Apple II market lucrative enough to warrant this
kind of sales tactic? Aside from being in bad taste, it's just not
necessary... look at the CFFA and Uther cards, for example. In both cases
competitive products were already available on the market (LANceGS and
MicroDrive), yet both products managed to gain widespread acceptance and
respectable sales based on their actual merits; not by disparaging the
work of others.

If your product _really_ is 10% better then you should have no problem
gaining a significant market share... unless, of course, you alienate your
target market with negative advertising before the product has even been
introduced.

That said, I think you should really take a look at the power consumption
issue... unless your card is going to make coffee and give me a shiatsu
massage I really can't see the PSU upgrade requirement being all that hot
of a marketing ploy.
