Hello Rob,

This is not a Macintosh group. It's a group for the Apple II series of
computers, which came 8 years earlier than the first Mac.

Try a group in comp.sys.mac.* somewhere.

He is asking about the Apple II clone named "Mackintosh", this is the
correct group for its discussion. It came out before the Macintosh existed
although Apple still sued them over copyright infringement of the Apple II.
I believe they were made by a local company, here in Montreal, Canada.

As to the original question, it's been years since I've seen a Mackintosh
up close but chances are the top half of the case simply lifts up, and off,
once you flip the computer over and remove the screws (be sure to leave
the powersupply screwed in though). With the top half of the case free,
you should be able to access the screws securing the keyboard so it can
be removed and cleaned.
