Question about transfering image file from PC to Apple IIe using ADT

Hello,

I am trying to transfer some disk images from PC to Apple IIe via ADT.
I have a list of questions as follow,

1. I prefer to use standard serial cable instead of null modem. The
document/faq said to set the jumper to "terminal" but doesn't tell how
to set the dip switches. The configuration it gives is for null-modem
connection:

1001111 - 1101110

Since they didn't give the dip switch configuration for "terminal"
mode. I assume that they maybe the same for both "modem" and
"terminal". But i noticed in the faq that SW1 5-7 = 111 means "modem
operation". But in my case, since i set my jumper to "terminal", should
it be "011" for "printer operation"?

So, what is the correct setting of dip switches for standard serial
cable setup?

2. The document said to boot with Dos 3.3 diskette, but i do not have
one. But i guess that one of my game diskette uses Dos 3.3. Is it ok to
boot the game up and press CTRL-Reset later? Can i use this method
instead? And how can i be sure that it uses Dos 3.3, is there any way
to check?

I also read in the faq that i can use Dos.3.3 diskette to create other
Dos 3.3 diskette using "INIT HELLO". Can i do this using the above
method? Boot Dos 3.3 game disk, CTRL-Reset and "INIT HELLO".

3. Do i actually need Dos 3.3. to boot? Can i just boot without a
diskette, CTRL-Reset to prompt, and do the operations (serial transfer
via ADT) they give in the document?

4. What type of disk should i use to receive image file? Blank diskette
with Dos 3.3 or Blank diskette formatted without Dos 3.3 (to store data
only)?

Thank you,
Mark
