Weird. I have the same setup (Ecks-Pee & FF 1.5) - Right-click/ Save-As gives me the same decompressed file as directly clicking the link and saving it that way.

Perhaps it's the compression programs installed. I've foregone all the zip programs except for WinRar. Maybe Firefox is using one of them.
