I was wondering a few things.
First of all, Why did the Amiga 1000 have composite video output, but
the Amiga 500 only had monochrome (or grayscale, I should say) output?
Very good question.. to save money maybe ?
Is it possible anywhere in the circuitry to get seperate Luma and
Chroma signals? I would imagine the 1000 has both somehwere and they
get blended together. The A500 I am not sure if the chroma signal
exists anywhere inside.
It's possible on A1200, I seen one person that did, I think hejust ripped
the idea directly from the CD32 (wich have S-video). No idea about A500..
I saw a hack for adding S-video to the A520 adapter. But I'd rather
add the S-video jack into the machine to make it nice and neat and I
don't need the RF adapter anyway.
Since RGBis SO much better than S-video I never even thought about it.. but
you maybe live in a country where all TV's doesn't have SCART ?
