perl interaction with the system

Hello,

I have this perl CGI i'm writting to report spam mail to SpamStamp in
order to complete the webmail application I'm trying to write to
interact with MessengerPro Server's IMAP capacities.

As now, i'm able to bring the message to the file format SpamStamp is
expecting, but i've got a problem of system interaction. All i want is
to send a SpamStamp command from perl. I don't think it's a SpamStamp
issue but my personal missconception of the system.

I've tried various combinations such as backquotes
`SpamStamp -spam ADFS::Torah.$.86226189`;
but i can't find the right code.

Should I open a pipe (i've tried that and failed) ?

Can anybody help ?
