Again, you're completely missing the point. All security comes down to
a trade off, and IME, the trade off for homeplugs is too low. Even I
could automate the capture of these devices.

Again, all I'm saying is that pretending these devices are secure is
complacent. People assumed WEP and such were secure, and look where
that got us. All it takes is for some enterprising guy to write a tool
that automates the whole process to make it easy for a guy to leach
bandwidth from anybody on his street who then purchases a homeplug.
Not all that unlikely. And that's before somebody finds a flaw in the
system's encryption scheme, and they'll be able to do it any time they
want.

I you don't care about that risk, I'm happy for you. Just don't
pretend it can't or won't happen - certainly not if you're talking to
people searching for advice on them.
