Can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect a wireless keyboard
mouse to a RiscPC, and how please.
You can, but I wouldn't bother. 99% you'll be within range of the good
old wire, and you've just got another set of things with batteries to
recharge for no good reason.
I've been using a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse for many years
without problems. The keyboard batteries last about a year - with about
10-12 hours use a day and the mouse about 6 months. I've been using
rechargeable alkaline ofr most of the time, but more recently NiMH.
I have to say that the lack of wires tangling on the desk is a boon and
it's also very convenient to be able to move the keyboard completely out
of the way sometimes and use the desk space for other things.
Also beware some wireless keyboards which can be picked up by other
people some distance away. I certainly wouldn't use one to log in to my
bank.
I must admit I hadn't thought about that, but the range is fairly limited.
The wireless keyboard on my computer doesn't get picked up by my son's
about 4 metres away in another room, and vice versa - and they are on the
same channel.
