For years I've been dithering about getting broadband, but I keep putting

which provides my dial-up access - Waitrose. However, I have a few
questions.
Does anyone here use Waitrose broadband, particularly from a RPC?
ThinkBroadband tells us that Waitrose is a reseller for Madasafish, but
I thought I'd read somewhere (here, probably) that Madasafish had been
taken over. If so, what difference has that made to their services?
Last time I checked (I'll check again) Waitrose were offering a free
BT Voyager 210 router, which seems to be a perfect match for my immediate
needs - a USB port to which I can connect my PC (but only when running
Windows?), and an Ethernet port to which I can connect my I-cubed
EtherLan 600 (I presume that the fact that the Voyager supports DHCP
doesn't mean that it requires my RPC to support it too?).
Has anyone experience of such a setup, with any ISP?
Are there likely to be any problems in the future? For example, will
either ISP or router prevent me from installing VOIP, should I wish
to do so?

Can't comment on the BB, but I still have a Madasafish (Wunce bought out
Freenetname) Dialup account as a standby have now been bought by BT.
Inserted below the form mail I received about it.

BT has announced that it has acquired Brightview Group Limited, the
company that runs the Madasafish service.
What do I need to do?
You don't need to do anything. Your email address, connection details and
service will not change. Our dedication to providing great customer
service will not change.
So what does this mean?
This is great news for Madasafish customers as it gives us access to BT's
resources to bring you exciting new products and services. We'll email you
with more information in the Autumn.
