I don't think you're obliged to use all of the features SF provide. I don't
think you even need to host source with them (provided it's available
somewhere else). Just use their file storage system. If your source isn't
available anywhere else, bung it all in a zip file and upload that too.

It's been about 5 years since I used them so I could be wrong, but there are
plenty of small, dormant-ish, one-man projects on SF.
