Does cable broadband use the cable going to the 'phone line, or the
cable carrying the TV feed?
My broadband, provided originally by Telewest/Blueyonder and now
Virgin Media, uses the same feed as the TV, though using a separate
physical cable coming into the house[1] - literally; at one point I
swapped the boxes around in order to put the TV box in a more
practical place!
I know that one of them is a 4 wire cable, like a telephone cable, as it
has been chopped showing the wires. I presume that is is the old Ntl
'phone cable and the other one a screened RF cable for the TV.
I'm just not sure if the cable broadband comes down the telephone wires
(broken) or the TV coax (still there).
