Looks that way. Any modifications that would normally be done through
the policy editor will need to be done directly in the registry or via
command line tools. Rights assignments, including the "access this
computer from the network" right can be done via the ntrights
command line tool or similar, if that works on Vista. Ntrights comes
from the resource kit, and hasn't changed much since the NT days - the
version from the Win2K resource kit is freely downloadable if you google
for it.

I've found and downloaded... No longer officially available, but I
downloaded from a 3rd party resource centre.

Okay, another prompt please, as this Win CLI stuff is a bit like cooking
from a recipe, but not knowing exactly what some ingredients are...Add 3
Grumbles of Grottle berries to the mix... ;-)

Before I do the deed and having looked at some info... I assume after
running the .exe, at the CLI I need to write something like?

SeNetworkLogonRight -u Username -m \\DavePC -+r
