Can't remember where I got it from , but I used to have trouble
sending E-mails on BTinternet until someone on the newsgroups gave me
the following :-

sysctl -ew net.inet.tcp.rfc1644=0

Saved as an Obey file and run before E-mails are sent , results in
eliminating the problem I had. There may be a way to incorporate it
into the boot sequence , but that is beyond my expertise.

Hope this helps
Depends on which version of RISC OS you use.

But for 4.02 I think this should be done by adding the line to the
bottom of the !Boot.Choices.Internet.User file. This is where any
special configuration options are set up.

I have done that and three consecutive test messages went like a
dream.
I shall forever be in the debt of Dennis for the code and Doug for
where to put it.

I hope I'm not being premature and that the problem has been fixed for
ever.
Now for the NewsHound problem, back to csa.apps.
