Thanks for not picking on me - should have said, three Acorns on
network; MPro, POPstar, etc :-)

Yes to SMTP.

I've never previously had the problems with AOL others have reported -
the only revent change has been to an ADSL router, which presumably is
dynamic, from a static IP using DialUp.

If that's really the cause, an aweful lot of people are going to be a
bit annoyed with them...
