Except that all the package management in the world won't help if the
writer of the software shoves the module in the application directory and
loads it from there - which is what seems to be happening here.

It's a lot simpler to say "this package is dependent on the WimpSWIVe
package" (to the package manager, not the user) and point the !Run file to
the place that the WimpSWIVe package installs the module than it is to try
and write instructions to tell the user how to set it all up manually.
