the same on two different machines? In my experience you're
lucky if it does!

With something like Word, luck features quite a lot, however there
are two things in this situation worth noting.

Have you thought of asking Paul Beverley's (1) advice? He now seems to
work as a professional proof-reader/editor and they have some sort of
guild. He's constantly asking on livtech for advice about how to cope
with the vagaries of Word.

Of course he may be sworn to the secrecy of his craft.

(1) Former owner/editor of Archive magazine. But you knew that.
