The old canard again. Certainly it is true that windturbines only produce
useful power when the wind is blowing in the right speed range but to go
on from here and assume that the wind speed is uniform over the whole
country is nonsense - the UK seldom has total lack of useful wind
everywhere at the same time. What is needed is a re-vamped National Grid
that can deal with generation input from a variety of sources, wind being
just one.

And that's aside from the aesthetic catastrophe.

That is a matter of opinion. Some of us like wind generators. Some of
*really* like wind generators.

Actually I think probably in the majority but less likely to make a noise
about it than the AONB protesters - quite reasonably.
