Re: Wanted: talented programmers

You seem to be producing lots of hot air for one with no opinions on the
subject.

You're trying to change my meaning. I have no strong opinion on what
Andrew originally stated. I do however, have accurate information and first hand experience to counter the misinformation and inconsistencies
you've stated to date.

But you've made the mistake _again_ of confusing your own
needs (a very limited selection of the web) with those of RISC OS
users in general.

That's where we differ, pal. I'm just expressing my own opinions - not
trying to act like the inventor of RISC OS or whatever. And I'd say it's rather obvious 'RISC OS users in general', ie those that
are left - are happy to put up with 'our' pathetic browsers. But of course
those users get less by the day - ever wondered why?

Ah, nice JC-style attempt to change the meaning of what I said (again)
by snipping context. The context was that _you_ found that
Firefox was no better than O1 on the sites _you_ visited, and
tried to insist that somehow that was true for all users. And if
_your_ experience was that it was not required for _your_ use,
that leaves us all wondering why you piped up about it at all.

But thanks for implicitly agreeing about the ridiculousness of your
assertions to date.

One of these days you'll realise the only way forward is by 'giving'
users what they want - not what 'you' think they should have.

Women, money, fast cars? Thanks for showing everyone how very
selfish you are. Of course, you can't have the moon on a stick,
and repeating things over and over that you want but don't make
sense don't make them any more possible. What you are saying
here is "do what I want, or else". Of course, what I _really_
will do will be some combination of what I want and was is
realistic, not some fulfilling some fantasy of yours, for no
gain for myself.

And this leads to understanding, how? Do you disagree that you've
been waxing on about how slow it is on a RiscPC, but at the same
time said you'd getting a faster machine?

Ignoring the syntax, even you should be able to work out that I'd be happy
to buy a faster machine to make Firefox work at a reasonable pace *if*
Firefox offered the same functionality as it does on my PC. Just how many
times do you have to be told this before it sinks in?

You've said it about 20 times recently. But you've still missed the
irony of even saying it at all, since it's not even relevant. This
logic escapes you.

I can only speculate what you're referring to, but let's just say
there seem to be a lot of assumptions on your part about what
I'm doing and what I have done.

From the master of assumptions.

Please name a single one. And thanks for agreeing that you've
made plenty. It's disappointing that you can't make any attempt
to educate yourself before making assertions about development.
