Yes. I think this is what puts off most people, but once it's installed
it's actually very easy to use, especially on RISC OS, as Pluto and
MessengerPro both have good support for PGP.
So, if, as a business, we start to send out encrypted emails to all our
customers - are they going to jump through hoops to decrypt them?
Another large proportion of my emails are through the www site forms. A
third is from genealogy mailing list members. Can I expect these all to
hunt out my key? A key would only work if it was sent with the email!
PGP only works for regular correspondents, and presumably only for those
with either something to hide, or acute paranoia!
Unlike yourself, I do not exclude robots from indexing my site
(http://www.vigay.com/software/webgallery.html is excluded!) as I put
stuff on my site that I want read, so I consider Google etc to be doing
me a service.
