Well, after a bit of stumbling, I thought I had achieved a successful
burn. At the end, I had the message, "Audio CD successfully written".
There was then a pause and the CD tray ejected.

Don't worry, John, I think that I DID understand what you said, and I did
save WAV files, successfully, off an audio CD. You were very helpful.

No, I think I had followed all the processes, of reading these WAV files
back to a blank CD-R.

I have given Steffen more details of what I had done, and he thinks he has
spotted some possible problems, re.
write speed
Track-at-once
Fixate.

You need to stop and reflect a while about the different processes!

I accept that I can be pretty thick computerwise. But, you made part of the
process much clearer and, with the rest of the relevant parts of the Manual,
I think that I am almost there.
