What are you basing your assumption on that it "appears genuine
enough"? The From: address means nothing. If you think about it for a
moment, why would anyone at Yahoo want to send you a patch? Even if
you were a Yahoo customer and if they really wanted to do anything
like this, do you really think they would send you an executable by
e-mail? Surely not.

Suggestions todo i.e. return it with appropiate comments or just dump it.

I have shoved it in a Spam folder. If I get any more I will create a
rule in Antispam. What appears convincing is the text on the email,
giving the illusion that a mail from me has been tracked. If anyone's
interested I could post the text here or send it privately.
