Yes, and no doubt yes.
Indeed, if you subscribe, you should have already received the full
version on CD, through the post.

Not at all. I've got the full version installed on my Risc PC here, so if
you've got any specific questions, please feel free to ask.
Paul,
Up until the install of Select 4.39 I wasn't that bothered if this SARPC
fell over during the upgrade, and I had to restore it from backups.
However, at this particular time and for a while ahead, the machine is in
quite heavy use for business stuff, so I really don't want it falling over
badly.
But I do want to get the upgrade done.
My question is little less than specific, but I'll ask anyway, if I may.
Assuming, as always everything is backed up to the second harddrive on the
machine, and I go ahead. Are there any particular things to trip up or
catch the unwary with the upgrader for this version?
Cheers
Dave S
Dave,
I don't have a list available, but there has been an odd report here and
there of certain applications glitching at boot time. Best advice is to
disable automatic booting of your applications for the initial upgrade so
that you can rule them out if you do have any strange issues.
Even better if you think your !Boot may be non-standard or messed up severely
would be to make a safe copy somewhere else and install a new !Boot sequence
for 4.39 fresh from the original Select3i4 CD. Then upgrade that !Boot.
Once you've done that, you could reintroduce your customisations from backup
so that your favourite applications get seen, or run at boot time.
HTH
Steve.
