No idea what you are on about there. I've never seen a problem with
the filter and large directories, apart from slowness on pre-Iyonix
machines.

Are you sure you are not thinking of a non filter issue such as the
Repeat command running out of buffer space?

Now it has been mentioned, ISTR a problem of this nature affecting either
Adjust or Select3 users when more than a certain amount of RAM was fitted.
I can't remember the specifics.
It didn't affect RO4.0x
