I remember reading somewhere that the Kinetic used a 150MHz SODIMM
(which did exist at the time, although very very rare) which is why I
never considered upgrading mine.
On opening my machine today, I noticed that the SODIMM in it was a PC133
one.
If I have RO 4.04, I gather that the memory limit for a Kinetic is 128MB.
If I have RO 4.39, what is the memory limit now?
(the card is one of the slower upgrade cards, and not a Kinetic 300).
If you have 4.39 in ROM 256MB is the max
Be warned we have a pile of SODIMMs here that meet the specs for Kinetic but
are not compatible!
The SODIMMs we found cost us a lot some time back, prices have fallen so you
may feel it worth gambling.
If you want a proven solution we can supply.

IIRC you need to have two motherboard SIMMS installed with a minimum 8MB in
the back slot.
