Hello,

The last time I researched running Birds of War on a RISC PC I was told
the answer was a resounding no. However, that was a couple of years ago
now and I was wondering, has the situation changed?

Yes is the short answer, you need the new version on the Flight Simulator collection from APDL www.apdl.co.uk this has been updated for OS4/SA machines and runs OK.

Ah, but did that version do much for the shedload of bugs in the original release ;-)?

Did such bugs include the indestructible carrier, which did not blow up
despite dropping infinite bombs on it?
On phoning 4D to ask if it was a bug, they said that perhaps I was using
the wrong type of bombs. Didn't make any difference what bombs I used...:-/

There are two boat-busting bombs in the modern era you can use.

What I meant more was that the '60s era didn't work at all from what I recall. The first mission of the Gulf you could never get to the plane before it blew up. And the Eurofighter often caused the machine to crash. And they're only the ones I remember 10 years on...

Best wishes,

Drew
