I have used !VNC to display a Windows PC's desktop on an Iyonix's
desktop on the same network, but is it possible to go the other way
round, i.e., display an Iyonix desktop on a Windows (7) PC? If
anyone has done this, I would be grateful to know what software is
required per machine, and any settings information.
There is a VNC server for RISC OS, but I only ever got it to work on a
Risc PC not an Iyonix.
I managed here with the Iyonix - 1024x768 256C - loaded from boot.
Saves changing cables around.
(Runnimg !Avalanche 0.22 on a VF RPC)
It only worked in a low res 256 colour mode, and
was so slow as to be completely unusable, as it didn't support any
compression of the data stream.
Is there anyone around here that understands what needs to be done to
support compression of the data stream?
