Photo-Filer

I'm running RO 5.16 on my Iyonix.
I'm finding that Dave Thomas's app Photo-Filer for displaying JPEGs as
thumbnails when a filer window containing same is opened, is holding
me up too much. For example a filer window containing 51 photos which
I opened just now took several minutes, (didn't actually time it),
with the hourglass running. In fairness to Dave's program that
particular window belonged to my Win7 pc and was coming across my
network via LanMan98 version 2.00, but opening filer windows
containing jpegs on the Iyo are also slow to complete being
thumbnailed.
So I've decided to do without PhotoFiler. When I originally installed
it I carefully made a note of what I had done and how to change it.
Reading those intsructions now reminds me that in P-F's choices I set
it to auto-quit after being run at boot-up, so that it didn't take up
space on my iconbar, but left its module running. In order to change
P-F I now need to manually load it from the filer window. Snag is that
I've repeatedly double-clicked on it and am just being ignored. No
error message is thrown up, P-F just doesn't appear on the iconbar.
Under Dynamic areas, the Task Manager is showing "PhotoFiler sprites"
368K, (that would be that filer window of 51 photos would it?), and
"PhotoFiler workspace" 20K, but P-F is not listed under its
Application tasks, (even after the double-clicking).

Help appreciated.
