No it's not that. The skeleton !Boot with ZapRedraw 1.48 in it comes with
the main Zap archive 'zap.zip'. There's also a link to a complete ZapFonts
later in the same paragraph on the tankstage page 'zfonts.zip'. It is this
latter archive that's missing the Resources directory.

Do not use the linked zfonts.zip from Tank's site. Use the one from here
http://zap.tartarus.org/downloads/1.47/1.47-beta1/
instead, and everything will work.

Great, that cures the ZapFonts Messages error for us. The Zap icon appears
on the iconbar. However, when I left-click to create a new text file, we get
the outline of the window appearing, but then

Message from Zap
Zap may have gone wrong. Click Continue to resume or Quit to stop Zap.

Continue just yields the same message again. Describe yields:

Internal error: abort on data transfer at &20414258.

I'm running with alignment exceptions on. Are alighnment exceptions reported
as "abort at data transfer" or something else?
