The WIMP slot maximum is much greater on an Iyonix, but RISCOS

Curious as they managed to make Paint and Draw handle larger files
some years ago.
This is done by using a dynamic area. Why Edit hasn't been changed to
do this too is anybody's guess; quite possibly because everybody hates
Edit anyway, and its only useful purpose is for editing files to try to
fix your boot structyre.
I have also found recently that ArtWorks under RISCOS Ltd will not
handle more than 28 Mbytes, which is a pain for my VRPC. Or is there
a way of making it use DA?
You'd have to ask Martin. With lazy task swapping (ie, RISC OS 4
onwards, as long as you have a StrongARM S or later) there's no
noticeable performance or memory penalty for using the slot in favour of
a DA; in fact there are many advantages.
