Unfortunatly not all LCDs will work ViewFinder or vPods!
15", 17" & 19" standard ratio monitors are rarely a problem but wide
screen in particular 1920x1200 & 1680x1050 LCDs often won't work on
ViewFinder or vPod in our tests on about a dozen makes & models
What are the symptoms of them not working?
Various, not filling the screen, overfilling (e.g.part of the icon bar off
the screen), out of frequency when according to the computer and other
monitors it was within specs or Monitor missreporting the res it was
recieving.
We did have problems with a couple of monitors even on an XP box, but we
found an undocumented auto adjust option on one and an 'alternative timings'
option on the other which fixed them.
Having used !makemodes to design over 200 MDFs we have rarely been beaten
but it is becoming more common especially with widescreen LCDs
