On loading Photodesk 3.09 I find that clicking on the 'Cancel' option
to delete previous images regularly stiffs my Iyo (RO 5.13), requiring
a reset button restart (Ctrl-Break and Alt-Break both ineffective).
When next loaded, previous Photodesk images have been deleted so the
process apparently proceeds at least in part before failing. The 'OK'
option (keep previous images) seems not to freeze the machine. Has
anyone else had this experience?

Not quite the same...

On an SA RPC with 4.02 I often get a complete machine freeze at the
start banner. As you say the only way out is with a reset (rear
button).

On next start-up of PD I get the "cancel/OK" choice and both seem to
work OK (though of course there is no image there as I don't save them
between sessions).

However... I have another problem too - a real show stopper at the
moment. When I use PD and TWAIN to scan an image in from my Epson
Perfection 1240U scanner (using a Unipod) I get a similar freeze on
transfer of the image to PD. On restart the image is there on the
clipboard on clicking OK but sometimes trying to open it for editing
leads to a crash of PD again. Sometimes the latter crash is
recoverable, sometimes not.

At the moment I'm having to resort to scanning via DPlngScan and then
transfer the image (in memory) to PD. This works every time (so far!)

Before anybody says anything hasty - yes this has been reported to the
author via CJE and I await a fix when convenient.
