Re: How do you Uninstal Printer Adobe PDF

Just a comment on installing programs on RISC OS.

Most programs come as a compressed archive file and you will need something
like !Spark to decompress them. (SparkFS from David Pilling is better but is
not free)

When you have decompressed them you will usually find:-

a) A directory application file (!xxxxx)
b) A Readme File which tells you of any installation procedures
c) Possibly an electronic manual in HTML, PDF, Impression or Ovation format

If there is no installation ReadMe file you only need to copy the
application file onto your hard disk in a convenient directory like $.APPS.

Files relating to printing ie PDF or Printer Definition Files are different
- follow the instructions given for Taborca in this thread.

Files relating to networking are also different - follow the instruction
which come with the application or hardware.

There is no registry to manipulate - RISC OS builds a new list of active
applications when it Boots up. Applications can be put into an active state
by adding them to the 'LOOK AT' or 'RUN' lists in CHOICES -> BOOT (found by
hitting the middle menu button on the LOGO at the bottom right of the icon
bar. Just drag the application icon from the hard disk to the desired list.

Items in the LOOK AT list are instantly available when needed by another
program or when you click with the mouse on one of their files (eg clicking
on a text file brings up EDIT). Items in the RUN list sit on the icon bar
and can be started by clicking on their icon bar icon.

Any application in neither list can be started by clicking on its file in a
directory (eg in Apps)
