I'm having problems installing Sibelius 7 on Virtual RPC-Adjust.

I've de-installed Sibelius from my real RPC back onto original floppy
disc.
I've made an image of the floppy disc to an adf file (using, I think,
a program called ADFImager)
I've created an ADFS "partition" in VRPC
I've set no of floppy drives to two in VRPC
I've rebooted RPC off the ADFS "partition"
I've mounted the adf image in VRPC
I've successfully opened drive :1 and double-clicked on !InstallS7

To be rewarded with the error: "Disc not formatted"

I wouldn't be surprised to find that the original floppy has deliberately
corrupted tracks as a form of copy protection. Either that or a 'token'
hidden in a particular track.

Of course, you can't simulate that with a virtual disc.

No, I do not think this is the problem, and the error message would be
different in that case - you would get an error from the installer
saying that the disc is corrupt. I think I have installed Sibelius
from a floppy created from a backup disc image, so all the required
information is in the disc image.

The displyed error is caused by the installer accessing ADFS::0.
I dimly remember that the installer specifically wanted to install
from ADFS::0 and nothing else. I think people had problems installing
from a physical second floppy drive, too. So, that is the reason why
the above procedure is bound to fail.

I wonder why the OP wants to install from :1 - the default floppy
drive is ADFS::0 even under VRPC. Either you have a physical floppy
drive, then you can use that to install. Or if you don't, then you
should be able to make the virtual floppy drive :0 and then it should
work, too. So, what was the point of setting the number of floppy
drives to 2 and install from drive :1?
