I think it's something of the sort : it's impossible to install unless
you have an internal floppy drive. The one plus point of the
Microdigital Alpha. (I've tried to install on a Mac with an external
USB drive, and that doesn't work.)


If you want to install Sib7 on your machine with no floppy - what about
using/borrowing another machine with VRPC* installed/floppy drive &
creating a new empty HardDisc file - install the prog - zip the
HardDisc file and copy over to your machine.

* I wonder if arculator would be sufficient for this.
