Whilst AIUI PhotodeskDA allocates address space not actaul memory
I wonder if leaving it in place could be actually causing
problems?
I have removed all additional patches etc., and it's still causing
problems. I'm wondering if it's perhaps better to go back to v3.06
in the interim?
No patches installed.
I have been particularly unlucky with 3.08 as it crashed on all sorts
of tool applications
Can you send to support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx a bug report listing which tools and
what the error you get is.
- I was looking forward to the higher speed
selections but every time I used them it crashed. I am sorry to report
that its reliability compared with 3.06 is poor. However I have just
tried some of the filter effects (on 3.08) and they worked.
IMHO it might be best to return to 3.06! 3.08 is in need of some
thorough bug fixes.
512MB Aria.... RISC OS 5.13
This is all very strange before this week I think we had had only two
reports of people having crashes with 3.08 and one of the those the Twain
problem that Bernard has mentioned applied to a 3.06+twain 32 combination as
well.
I wonder if there is a clash with some external software. AIUI Photodesk
relies only on standard OS components and only on clib to a small extent.
When we have recieved full bug reports we pass them onto the programmer, though as none of the beta testers have suffered
