I'm using Firefox2v1 (not the RiscOS-ified version) and clicking on
Edit on the Menu bar across the top gives Preferences as the bottom
option. Click on this and select Downloads (other choices are General,
Privacy, Content, Tabs and Advanced). In the Downloads dialogue select
'Save all files to this folder' and cllck the Browse button; select
the directory you want and FF should remember it.
Many thanks for the continued help, but it still doesn't work for me
with either 2v1 or the version called Bon Echo (Christmas 2006). I
just get the message asking me to try another location. As I
mentioned, it's not vital, and I'm sure it's all due to my having done
something silly at some point, so I'm not going to try further! In any
case, I haven't (yet?) found a download for which Firefox is
necessary.
With best wishes,
Peter.
