Sadly that is case - quite normal for applications really.

That may be so for many RISC OS apps, but a really good application
retains its undo information on a per-file basis which better enables
long-term projects and the re-use of previous designs as, er, stationery.

About the
only protection is an 'you are about to overwrite an existing file'
warning but I've seen people happily do that.

Indeed, and some apps don't warn at all and somewhere RISC OS appears
inconsistent unless the files are locked.

Unfortunately CFSI
doesn't do that but at least it doesn't include the full path in the
Save as dialogue so you can't just click ok.
