It does when trying to fix it.

It's like complaining about your TV not being able to play a VHS tape,
when you have a betamax machine. It's not the fault of the TV,
changing it would not help. Blaming the wrong thing helps no-one.

And of course a recent PC will play them. Will Firefox on an Iyonix ever
be able to?
It seems to be a question everyone here is avoiding...

In answer to your question, if no-one writes the plug-ins, then no. If
they do and firefox is updated to support them then yes. But if they
are written they will work with other browsers.
