What makes you think it is a memory problem? If there is an error
message, *please* include it in your report.
The error message is a box with Impression Publisher at the top and the
words "Not enough memory for paste" in the middle, and an OK button
at the bottom.
About 7 / 8 pages seems to be the maximum length I can get for a chapter.
So, what happens when you add the 9th page?
I get the message above and the paste fails.
I am using a SA RPC with RiscOS 4.02, 130 Mb RAM (105Mb free) so this would
appear to be a problem from within !Publisher.
The total document size is 11 pages : 906,252 bytes in two chapters. I have
been unable to copy it all into one chapter.
It makes no difference if if the document is the old muli-file format or
not. It is also the same on a 710 RPC with RiscOS 3.7 and lots of memory,
VA5000, and RPC-SE.
There appears to be a critical size of document beyond which one can't paste
more bits in from the clipboard.
I have at last got rid of the two 'broken' fonts that were included in my
documents. (They had been put on the old - now defunct - network by the
systems administrator.) I can now convert all my files to PDF format using
!RiScript and these display perfectly on PC systems with Adobe Acrobat.
!GhostScript 8.53 will not convert most files and falls over. !RiScript also
renders all fonts correctly, while !PDF fails to do so. It appears to use
just one font but I have not investigated what the default is yet. There is
also some sort of conflict between !RiScript and !PDF if they are both in
use.
