Last I heard, I think the Students Union was going to make some kind of
formal complaint, or sue the university or something. I laughed and thought
it was another case of Microsoft being crap and people being too stupid to
realise it. :-)
It seems pretty stupid to update them all at the same time without
testing one first, admittedly.
It also seems that their techies aren't up to much.
However, I can't see that they could fail the students because of
'their' stupidity and the machines' failure.

You are also to be praised for not 'cashing in' by letting all the
students use your machine for a fee! Expecially when remembering all
the computers you'd have sold after you'd puppy-dogged them.
