I wonder if you've considered our argonet.acorn.assist as a possible
newsgroup venue that can momentarily help out?

All any of you need do is subscribe in the same manner that you do
for your other Usenet newsgroups... :))
Unfortunately "argonet" is deceptive. These groups are not publicly
available and never have been. And certainly they are not available on
Plus Net's news server.
Tim.. :)) I think you might find that they've been available,
for some time - that is why I mentioned it to Peter.. :))
You might need to ask your IP to provide a feed for you, or
attach yourself to Giganews or one of the other main Usenet
Backbones - or, as an alternative, use one of the free news
feeds carrying argonet.*.* at outlets such as:
news.gazeta.pl
...log in details aiui at: http://www.terra-fied.org.uk/gazeta.txt
or perhaps Chika's discovery of: www.news.greatnowhere.com
Mind you, I'm quite happy discussing any application on the
comp.sys.acorn.apps newsgroup.
Well, that certainly makes as much sense, if not a little more,
than some other easily knackered and uncaring routes.
However, the offer is open, should you need it. The argonet.*.*
newsgroup heirarchy is a genuinely friendly and helpful place to
inhabit - not dissimilar in many respects to the best of c.s.a.*
After all, we are your cousins!
:))
