I have just found the same here, after fully quitting Aemulor from the
iconbar the Next slot could not be increased beyond 28MB. I tried an
rmkill in a TaskWindow and :---

*rmkill aemulor
Aemulor can't be killed at the moment (Another program is using the
SWI vector)

This is due to Geminus (acceleration only here), quit that then
Aemulor can be quit and the Next slot is unlimited.
