Email clients

I am under increasing and relentless pressure from my business partner to
"update" our email system here in the office. We have a network of RPC's
running the IMAP version of Messenger Pro connected to a Linux email
server.

The pressure is to do with being unable to properly deal with attachments,
slow rendering of PDFs, not displaying HTML emails, basically I'm being
told to "upgrade" to PC's or else. I'm close to running out of arguments.

Our business runs on RISCOS software I have created over the past dozen
years, so an instant change is not really an option, but I am reluctantly
considering installing KVM switches and cheap PC boxes so that staff can
switch over to the dark side when Excel spreadsheets are required, or the
creation/editing of Word documents, etc.

I am resisting using Outlook, for obvious reasons, and am currently
experimenting with Mozilla Thunderbird, however the pressure is ever
mounting to find something identical in operation to Outlook <shiver>.

....do you think there is any point in trying Gemini (Messenger Pro for
Windows)? If it is indeed Messenger Pro for Windows, it will not achieve
the desired result, alas.

Can anyone with experience of PC email clients recommend a good one
(Pegasus?) or, much much more to the point, is it possible to work on our
RISCOS setup so that it will function as seemlessly as the PC side?

....sad to say, the display of HTML emails, complete with letterhead logo,
or an image of a spiral binding down the side, yes, that's what I'm
talking about. No amount of me pointing out email standards is getting
anywhere at all. Our rivals send out emails that have images in position
within the email window, we have to acquire the ability to do the same.

<ducks>
