Fantastic, that's done the trick nicely; the directory in UnixHome was
called something else, but was easily identified. I now have a fully
functional Firefox, and I can't thank you enough. I won't have to go
to the Dark Side nearly so often now.
However, this raises some questions:
1) What is this file supposed to do? Its contents don't make any sense
to me, but I expected that.
2) Will its absence means that FF will run into other problems later?
3) Why have only a few people had this problem with it?
4) Will it affect other apps which use UnixHome? (Presumably not, is
it's in a Firefox directory.)
5) Does Peter N know about this? I think he reads this group.
6) Should something about this be posted on the unixpp mailing list?
I'm wary of posting there because of the risk of offending powerful
people.
