JOB PURPOSE:
Develop and lead a shared service Quality Assurance function. Areas
of responsibility focus on estimation, analysis, development, and
client interactions to support shared services/applications from a
quality perspective. Working closely with Products, Operation, Call
Centers, Marketing and Finance functions to deliver and support value
added quality processes including data conversion and migration of
legacy systems. Manages projects and virtual resources on a day to
day basis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Development of testing strategy, including test planning, execution
and reporting.
· Responsible for writing test plans, test cases and developing test
scripts. Responsible for creating tests data; writes test standards
and procedures.
· Tests and certifies software defect fixes and new functionality.
Executes full unit, regression and performance tests for each
release.
· Clear and precise defect reports for identified defects based on
testing results.
· Testing of data conversion scripts to ensure all data is properly
converted.
· Investigation of data anomalies and finding the source of
inconsistencies and problems.
· Led complex functional and technical testing resources.
· Analyzes test results and makes recommendations. Documents results
from tests and communicates the results to the tower leads and
management.
· Led virtual teams of technical resources in complex conversion
routines.
· Develop documentation utilizing source and target data mapping.
· Communicate and collaborate with business partners, IT tower leads,
and architecture team to ensure conversions strategy and efforts are
in alignment with business and technology standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Managed core application migration for 100+ million dollar company
· Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in leading data conversion
efforts.
· Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in leading the execution of QA
function.
· Formal training in the Project Management System, business knowledge
training, and system organizational training.
· Experience documenting source and target data mapping.
· Demonstrated experience in the following, but not limited to,
Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Previous experience in all areas of the Information Technology
field, including programming, systems design and SOA environment.
· Experience on Data Warehouse projects. CRM, Financial and Marketing
reporting experience a plus.
· Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree, or equivalent work
experience, in Computer Science, Applications Systems Design, or other
related Data Processing field of study.
· MS SQL Server 2005, IIS, Power Designer, Erwin, SQL, C/C++, SOAP,
SourceSafe, Visual Studio
· Service Oriented training
· Prefer experience with iSeries and .NET. C# and SQL
· Strong data analysis skills a must
· C# and SQL experience would be a plus
